General Guidelines

  • When using a child carer for the first time on the App: Read their reviews: If they’ve undertaken previous bookings on NannyTap you can see the reviews left by other parents on there. If they’re new to the App and no reviews are available feel free to ask them for a reference in the old-fashioned way!

  • Check the child carer documents: If they have stated on their profile that they hold any certificates, such as First Aid or DBS  we suggest you ask them to bring it with them on your meet up or on your booking date. Along with photo ID. (NannyTap DBS checks each child care member on the update service)

  • Early Booking: a great idea for a first time booking would be to book your child carer an hour, or even 30 minutes before your scheduled hand over. this would be a great time for your children and you to get to know the child carer. Take advantage of our NannyTap information forms, to fill in and discuss with your chosen child carer before you leave.

  • Arrange a meet-up: considering a meet & greet before your booking is a great idea especially if you’re looking for a longer term arrangement as opposed to a one-off /emergency booking.

  • Importantly, do not hesitate to ask for the information you need to feel comfortable with the person you’ve chosen. NannyTap child carers will be happy to oblige. If they’re not happy to provide the information then please choose another child carer!

  • It’s also important to note that NannyTap is not an agency or recruitment platform and we do not employ or recommend the Child Carers on our platform. It is the parents whom select their own child carer.

  • NannyTap App Does Not make any money transfers from parents to child carers. Payment methods should be discussed, communicating clearly your agreements.

  • Rates: please take into consideration the rates your offering on your bookings ensuring they reflect National minimum wage or above. If you are making a short booking (e.g 2 hours) consider making the rate attractive, which may result in quicker responses, accepted bookings.
